What We Do

WALW-LP has been the radio voice for Moulton and Lawrence County Alabama since 2003. Our music is a great mix of the hits from the greatest 20 year period of Rock 'n Roll...1963 to 1983. In addition, we bring news and other local interest items to our listeners, including live music events throughout the year. Weather is a very important part of our lives in the Tennessee Valley and WALW brings weather updates throughout the day and increase those updates when severe weather is possible. If it's important to our listeners, it's important to us. 

Sundays on 97.9 is when you'll hear commercial free Southern Gospel music and the services from several area churches. YAt 7:00 its Gospel Radio Favorites, featuring Gospel quartets, trios and music news, too. At 9:00 am listen to the recorded services of Moulton First United Methodist Church. And at 10:30 tune in for the services of Moulton Baptist Church, broadcast live on WALW. At 11:30 we offer that Sunday morning's service from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  And at 12:30 we bring you the Gaither Homecoming Radio program. Along with our Gospel syndicated music programming, Sundays are indeed a special time to listen to 97.9
